OVERVIEW

• The purpose of US Mass Shooting Analysis is to understand these tragic events, gain some basic insights, trends, and patterns and create awareness among public to show how severe it is becoming.

• This is a general analysis of the incidents, but there are other aspects of these events that require more extensive examination to formulate strategies and prevent their recurrence. For example, weaponry, perpetrators and their demographics, policies, and laws, etc

DEFINITION OF TERMS

• Incident : A Mass Shooting episode or event.

• Killed : A person died in an incident

• Injured : A person hurt in an incident

• Casualty : A person killed or injured in an incident
